Rostec, Rostelecom unveil secure smartphone on Aurora OS

MOSCOW, Mar 17 (PRIME) -- Russia’s Concern Avtomatika, part of state industrial corporation Rostec, and Open Mobile Platform, part of telecom company Rostelecom, have presented a trust-phone, a smartphone for safe communication, AYYA T1, running on national operating system Aurora, Rostec said on Thursday in a statement.

“AYYA T1 is a secure smartphone with protection against data leaks,” the statement read.

The device is designed for companies and institutions paying special attention to information security matters. Its special feature is an option to switch off cameras and microphones, which provides a higher privacy level. When they are turned off, the user still can surf the Internet, use messengers and applications.

The smartphone is already available for order for corporate and state entities. The device has a frontal and rear cameras, an eight-core processor, random access memory of 4 GB and internal storage of 64 GB with an expansion option to 128 GB.
